Ten Things Found in a Wizard's Pocket

The Poem :


"A dark night.

  Some words that nobody could ever spell.

  A glass of water full to the top.

  A large elephant.

  A vest made from spider's webs.

  A handkerchief the size of a car park.

  A bill from the wand shop.

  A bucket full of stars and planets, to mix with the dark night.

  A bag of magic mints you can suck forever.

  A snoring rabbit.



Summary of the Poem :


The poem is all about ten things which are found in a wizard's pocket. There is a dark night. There are some magical words which can not be spelt by anyone. There is a glass full to its brim with water. There is a large elephant. A vest which is made from webs of spider. There is a handkerchief where a car can  be parked. The wizard used to buy magic wands. He has a bill from the wand shop. To mix with the dark night, there is a bucket full of stars and planets. There is a bag full of magic mints to suck forever. Last but not the least, there is a snoring rabbit.

= Yes, I think the poet met a wizard in real life. The poet has used many of the items of a wizard in the poem. The poet has used the items like glass of water, vest, handkerchief, magic wand, magic mints and the rabbit. Generally a wizard uses these type of items to show his magic.



4. Of all the items in the wizard's pocket, which one did you find the strangest? Why?


= Of all the items in the wizard's pocket, the large elephant is the strangest. It is beyond our imagination that an elephant can fit in a pocket of a wizard no matter how big the pocket is.



5. If the wizard's pocket had space for five more things, what do you think he should add?


If the wizard's pocket had space for five more things, I think he should add items like - magic crystals, silver rings, wooden toy, bronze disc and a bell.
