= Three advantages of using windows as an operating system are-

ii) Easy to use and learn: Working with windows is easy as it just requires a few mouse clicks to do the work.
iii) Multitasking: We can work on multiple programs at the same time. Alt+tab keys are used to control open windows on the desktop.
2. Why do you use the search box in the start Menu?
= The search box in the start menu is mainly used for searching files and folders stored in the computer disk that is ,it helps us to search for a document, an application, a computer or a user connected on the network.
3. Why do you use the Run option in the start menu?
= The Run option in the Start menu is used for executing a file or an application directly. For example, the user can open the paint application by specifying Paint in the Run dialog box.
4. What are the icons available in the Control Panel?
= We can use Control Panel to make changes to the look and settings of windows, including the colour of our desktop, windows, hardware and software setup and configuration, network, internet etc. The important Control Panel icons are- Personalization icon, Mouse settings, Region and Language icon etc.
5. Discuss the usage of the Region and Language icon.
= The Region and Language icon is used for changing the settings of the display of language, numbers, time and date. We can do those by the following steps: i) Click on start - Control Panel; ii) Control Panel - Region and Language; iii) The Region and Language display box opens; iv) Date and time formats can be changed in the Date and time formats section; v) Click on apply - OK.
